Magic Language Suite

Part of the 2016 ‘Interlude’, Lindsey Kelley Dance will debut two works which respond to the silkscreen prints titled ‘Magic Language,’ created by industrial designer Eva Zeisel and the ceramicists of KleinReid. Accompanying live musical composition will be performed by Marc Hennessey of ‘To All My Dear Friends.’ Choreography, costumes, and music are derived from a sense of harmony and balance of the two prints, incorporating their colors, shapes, and mood. ‘Magic Language #1’ corresponds to the first of the prints, containing weightedness and precise detail; ‘Magic Language #2’ corresponds to the second print, which is flowery and full of spiralling whimsy.

There are THREE performances of ‘Magic Language Suite’
